In Winter of 2007 Betty will be a guest lecturer at San Jose State University. She is instructing design students on how to prepare their entries for the International Housewares Manufacturers Student Competition in Chicago IL (March 2007).
In the Fall (2006), Betty presented a lecture and workshop on housewares design at San Jose State University. She has recently completed the Spring and Fall semesters of Industrial Design 3 Product Development at San Francisco Academy of Arts University. Betty is also listed as an instructor for several college campuses in the Bay Area, including the California College of the Arts in San Francisco. She has also served as a guest lecturer for: Innovando En Educacion DuocUC, Santiago, Chile; Pasadena Art Center, Pasadena, CA; Arizona State University, Tempe, AZ; Kansas University, Kansas City, KA; San Francisco State University, San Francisco, CA. Pictured below is a cabbage glass salad set in crystal using delicate pastel colors designed for Viking Glass Company. This giftware item was produced using a special high speed production process. By using a natural surface texture, this group of glassware has a handmade quality.
This Spring (2005), Betty will continue to instruct an Industrial Design 3 Studio Class at San Francisco Academy of Arts University. This course was taught by Betty in the Fall of 2004.
